Technical Sales Manager

Based on the outskirts of Boston, we have a full time, permanent position for a Technical Sales Manager who ideally has experience of working within the manufacture of composite components.  We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced technically orientated sales professional who has a track record of delivering sustained business development.  The role will involve the generation of new clients and the advancement and technical support of existing customers.  The role will also involve customer site visits to assess problems and offer solutions and whilst some office-based input will be necessary, the role also offers an opportunity to work remotely.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience gained within an account management / sales account management / technical customer facing role.
  • Technical bias towards glass reinforced plastic and other composite materials
  • Experience in handling major tooling projects would be particularly interesting.
  • Computer literate, particularly with Microsoft packages.
  • Strong people influencing skills, a relationship builder able to win trust.
  • Highly organised with solid work ethic approaching tasks tenaciously.
  • Target driven, able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
