Care Home Manager
We have a permanent position for a Residential Care Home Manager based in Skegness - duties are as follows:-
Manager required for a small (max. 14 beds), friendly, homely Care Home within a small, historic village near Skegness. We are looking for a manager who can lead, motivate and demonstrate good practise. Is personable, and can inspire with their passion for social care for the elderly.
Salary [£22-25k] depending on experience
Responsibilities include:
- Clear understanding of CQC standards/legislation
- Show support and direction to other care staff
- To ensure staff is supervised and regular spot checks completed
- Provide on the floor guidance and training to junior staff
- Carry out regular audits and attend compliance meetings
- Complete and update care plans
- Responsible for the command of medication
- Support of residents and their families
- Ensure the delivery of person-centred care service
- Ensure care services are structured in a way that provides flexibility, reliability and continuity
- Ensure the service is appropriately resourced with the right number of suitable staff and oversee rotas.
- Promote good practice within the care home
- Ensuring that the Policies, Procedures and Practices of the Home are followed at all times.
- The effective management, supervision, motivating, training and development of care staff
- Good written and verbal skills for communication and understanding
- Ensure good practise around PPE and COVID-19 aspects of work
- Work closely with the Provider to deal with referrals, ensuring smooth management of the relationship with the Social Care Workers, local G.P. surgeries
Preferable Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience of managing as an assistant/deputy care home manager
- Experience of dealing with referrals, management of the relationship with the Social Care Workers, G.P. and CQC
- Clear understanding of CQC standards/legislation
- Previous Management/Supervisory experience
- NVQ 4 Leadership & Management for Care Services
- NVQ 4 Health & Social Care
- A satisfactory Police Check and check against the Adult Barred List
- Good IT skills and be confident in computer-based work
